Cuba Iluminada is an open photographic project developed by Héctor Garrido in Cuba since 2010, in which he takes first-person portraits of artists and prominent people from the world of culture, sports, science and society in Cuba. Despite the fact that a book has been published with more than 250 portrayed people and that the exhibitions on this Project have traveled through several countries in America and Europe, Garrido considers that it is an always unfinished project, a kind of "work in progress", to which he is constantly adding new portraits.
